This aligns with Siemens’ global Xcelerator strategy.To bolster this initiative, we’re seeking motivated individuals for our Cybersecurity Degree Apprenticeship Scheme within the Digital Services team. As part of this team, you’ll work on Cybersecurity and Industrial IoT solutions, contributing to the energy sector’s sustainability while advancing your career.As an apprentice, you’ll engage in real projects while receiving guided learning over a 4-year period, culminating in the completion of the Level 6 Digital and Technology Solutions Professional standard. Throughout, you’ll receive support from Siemens mentors and our apprenticeship provider. Join us and make a difference in an exciting and evolving industry.As a Cyber Security Apprentice, here is a taste of what you can expect:

  • Following your off-site induction week you will immediately begin integrating into the Siemens community and embark on a series of departmental placements within Electrification Automation at our Hebburn site.
  • As part of the programme, you will complete the Bsc (Hons) Digital and Technology Solutions qualification by part-time study.
  • You will also undertake your apprenticeship End Point Assessment in your final year.

Throughout the apprenticeship you will continue to learn and develop your competences in areas such as:

  • Develop & implement OT cybersecurity measures throughout the project’s life cycle from Design to Delivery phase.
  • Involvement in the Design and Development of new cybersecurity requirements for various Energy / Utility customers in the UK.
  • Involvement in the design of end-to-end IoT & digitalization solutions establishing performance metrics and process optimizations for our clients.
  • Contribute towards research and development of an overall IoT and Edge ecosystem.
  • Learn and experience various concepts of Siemens Cybersecurity blueprint based on Zero trust architecture.
  • Learn and participate in developing new cyber testing tools & procedures.
  • Gain experience in configuring / deploying OT-IDS technologies.
  • Assist in the development of project related cybersecurity documentation, such as: Threat and Risk Analysis reports, Security Requirements Document and Mitigation Measures.
  • Involvement in a Cyber/IOT delivery project – design, configuration, testing and execution.
  • Gain skills by working on Siemens Automation products and software.

What do I need to apply?We are looking for forward thinking, innovative and inquisitive candidates that demonstrate the following:

  • You will have achieved at least 5 GCSE’s grade 4 or above including Maths and English Language.
  • You will have achieved, or be on track to achieve, 3 A Levels at grade B or above (or equivalent Level 3 or 4 BTEC), one of which must be a numerate subject and one must be a relevant science subject.
