Band 6 Deputy Manager to support the operational Manager and deputise in her absence. The post Involves working with the staff team and the successful candidate will have access to staff rostering, supervise staff and complete 1:1 supervisions and assisting to maintain a healthy budget position. To assist in achieving KPI targets and complete audits and monitor completion by ward staff.Main duties of the jobThe post holder is accountable for supporting the Unit Manager and the clinical lead in the provision of care over a twenty-four hour period; they will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team . At all times acknowledging and respecting the individual rights of people with learning disabilities and / or mental health difficulties.About usThe unit has 13 beds for men with a learning disability who have may have offended and require treatment in hospital, the patients may have transitioned down from our medium secure unit or come into hospital directly from the community. The focus of the Unit is to provide patients with treatment and learning opportunities which will minimize the impact of their learning disability and other diagnosis. The treatment will address their offending behaviour, through recognizing and managing their own risks and equip them with meaningful skills for future life. This will be achieved through providing a therapeutic environment and treatment which fosters trust and encourages self-esteem.
