It is crucial that the postholder has experience or has specialised knowledge in resistance and graphic materials, and the successful applicant will play an integral role in shaping the design curriculum and providing students with practical skills for real-world applications.Design Technology Teacher – Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver dynamic lessons that integrate resistance and graphic materials into the design process.
  • Provide hands-on instruction in our fully equipped workshops.
  • Mentor and support students as they explore design concepts and develop their projects.
  • Collaborate with fellow Design and Technology teachers to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements, infusing your expertise into the curriculum.

Design Technology Teacher – Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong experience in a mainstream school teaching KS3 and 4
  • Bachelor’s degree in design, Engineering, Education, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated years of experience teaching Design and Technology, with a focus on resistance and graphic materials.
  • As a Design and Technology Teacher, you should have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Dedication to fostering creativity and innovation in students.
