Designer / DetailerCorbySalary Depending on ExperienceWe at Jackie Kerr Recruitment are supporting an exciting, independent company in recruiting for a Designer with a background in Fabrication / structural steel!Designer Roles and Responsibilities:
- Site surveys where required
- Design architectural, secondary and structural steel structures
- Using information supplied by structural engineers
- Meet customer / clients specifications
- Produce of all drawings required to achieve design approvals
- 3D renders
- Liaising with team members and communicating with clients
- Working with structural engineers to identify any technical issues
- Attending client design meetings
- Ensuring all fabrication drawings and bill of materials are related to the design / project
Designer Ideal Candidate:
- Design experience ideally in fabrication or structural steel
- An understanding of relevant BS and Euro specifications and design regulations
- Must have proven ability in AutoCAD 2D
- Previous experience in Tekla Structures (Ideal but training can be provided)
- Good time management and prioritisation
- Communicate verbally and written with clients / team members
