This is an exciting opportunity to work on scalable, impactful solutions at the forefront of digital retail.What You’ll DoDevelop and maintain backend systems that power our eCommerce and digital platforms.Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code using modern programming languages and frameworks.Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs to ensure seamless integration between systems.Contribute to the architecture and design of new features with a focus on performance and scalability.Work with relational and non-relational databases, ensuring efficient queries and data integrity.Debug and resolve technical issues to ensure system reliability and availability.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.Participate in code reviews, fostering a culture of learning and technical excellence.Stay up-to-date with industry trends and contribute to team improvements and best practices.What You’ll BringA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.4-5+ years of backend development experience, with strong expertise in object-oriented programming (OOP).Proficiency in modern programming languages like Java, Python, etc.Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and working with distributed systems.Strong knowledge of databases, such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB, including schema design and query optimization.Familiarity with cloud environments such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or AWS.Experience with CI/CD pipelines and application deployment.Exposure to containerization tools like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset.Excellent collaboration and communication skills.How You’ll SucceedAt Loblaw Digital, we are committed to continually strengthening our culture by seeking out exceptional individuals who embody our values, build trust, and forge meaningful connections.
