Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?The Digital API & Dev-ops team is building a developer portal that will be used by all RBC developers (Internal AND external) to build their production grade apps. This tool help developers meet the high level of quality and security we expect at RBC by making that the easiest and resistance-free path for building their software.In this role you will provides thought leadership, strategic advice and expertise to stakeholders and peers on the use of user interface patterns and
behaviours in digital experiences for internal developers. The role leads complex projects, managing design and delivery of visual and interactive artifacts to define developer interactions.We work in a cross functional team, with opportunities to learn new skills and experiment with the latest technologies. We provide the flexibility in work and understand the strength in working together. We support a growth mindset and treat each other with respect. Join our team to write high quality code to create impactful products!What will you do?Creates high-fidelity sketches, wireframes, prototypes and user flows to explore, communicate intent, and validate ideas for highly complex systems and inter-related client experiencesCreates interaction artifacts of high complexity for digital media (web or app) to exchange information, elicit emotion and facilitate interactionDirects discussions with Design and cross-functional teams about Interaction Design strategyInfluences product strategy by advocating for our clients’ needs and interestsUnderstands complex user interface patterns and behaviours as they relate to underlying systems, and uses that understanding to improve user comprehension, create a more cohesive story, improve task performance and enhance usabilityCo-creates user flows and prototypes that represent the team’s consolidated testing objectivesCo-facilitates research discussions with Design Researcher and provides insights and direction on topics or questions for testing, including specific Interaction Design strategies or executionsWhat do you need to succeed?Must-have:Strong technical depth and breadth of expertise in Interaction Design practice theory / toolsExpert knowledge of Interaction design methodologiesExperience with designing system in FigmaExperience working on cross-functional teamsNice-to-have:Experience designing and launching digital productsExperience coaching and mentoring team membersExperience designing products for clients with disabilitiesWhat’s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
