An exciting opportunity has arisen for a diabetes dietitian to join the dietetic team at Hereford County Hospital. The dietetic team comprises of 16 dietitians and 4 dietetic assistants.The diabetes dietitians work closely with the wider diabetes MDT to provide 1:1 and group education/ promote self-management to patients with diabetes type 1, type 2 and gestational diabetes across Herefordshire. Specialist services include antenatal service, insulin pump clinics and young adult clinics.Post-registration experience in diabetes is desirable for this post however training can be provided. You will be supported in your role by the Band 7 diabetes dietitians.Main duties of the jobThe successful candidate will be responsible for running face to face and virtual outpatient clinics + structured education groups – treating all types of diabetes; with treatments for diabetes including HCL and insulin pump therapy.
