The Growth Company’s (GC) Business Growth Hub (BGH) seeks a Digital, Creative and Tech (DCT) Programme Manager responsible for operational management of the Create Growth and other business support programmes focused on the digital, creative and technology sectors in Greater Manchester (GM). The post holder will also lead on the establishment and development of long-term strategic and operational relationships with key stakeholders and partners to build mutually beneficial collaborative relationships supporting the GM Creative Industries ecosystem, contributing to and supporting delivery of GM sector development plans.GM BGH is a community of specialists helping businesses in GM achieve their ambitions. Since 2011, the Hub has supported over 15,000 businesses, providing finance guidance, international links, and fostering innovation and people development. We collaborate with public and private partners to offer expert business support, events, specialist programmes, and funding.This role is a fixed term contract until the 30/04/2026.Key Responsibilities:
- To lead the development of an active Creative Industries sector network of key stakeholders, partners and support delivery organisations; including key sector trade bodies, businesses, and other sector organisations to obtain long-term collaboration and referrals.
- To ensure that GM BGH is well known and recognised within the Creative Industry communities across Greater Manchester.
- To work collaboratively with other providers of support within the eco-system to embed GM BGH support as complementary activity alongside their support delivery to add value and synergy.
- Identify and evaluate influential contacts in new or existing partners to motivate potential sponsors, secure collaboration against agreed objectives and facilitate working closely together to generate referrals.
- Review, research, and map data to identify key market and sector-relevant intelligence to support and better inform the facilitation of the GM Creative Industries ecosystem.
- Drive effective day-to-day programme and contract management of the DCT Sectors offering.
- Manage relationships with externally procured delivery partners to ensure performance against programme objectives.
- Develop and evolve an external beneficiary experience end to end, focusing on high quality and long-term relationships.
- Design internal programme processes for lead generation, pipeline management, sales cycle, support delivery, and business monitoring.
- Evolve system usage to capture details of all programme beneficiaries and track project progress.
- Ensure timely and effective production of programme data and monitoring reports.
About You:
- Strong understanding of the Creative Industries sector and business support environment in Greater Manchester.
- Embedded in the GM Creative Industries ecosystem with active knowledge of key players and organisations.
- Able to operate as a credible ambassador on a regional platform to promote business support service objectives to a range of audiences.
- Able to establish, develop, and maintain relationships with relevant private or public sector organisations, including Creative Industry organisations and institutions, commercial, government / public bodies, and HEIs.
Skills Required:
- Excellent business development and relationship management skills.
- Proven ability to lead complex projects and work programmes, meeting deadlines effectively.
- Excellent planning, organisational, influencing, and negotiation skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to plan and manage own workload, as well as achieving agreed targets and objectives.
- Ability to condense complex data into concise reports.
- Confidence in dealing with financial and accounting issues.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and CRM databases.
