As this strategy continues to drive the effectiveness and performance of the business, to the benefit of millions of patients worldwide, best in class HR support and leadership becomes ever more important!Introduction to roleAstraZeneca is seeking an innovative and collaborative Digital HR Director to design, develop, deploy, and operate our global Digital HR strategy roadmap, tools, and systems across the Reward technology landscape. This critical role will be responsible for aligning a digital strategy within the Reward COE, enabling a suite of technologies that drive ongoing operational efficiency. Solutions will be delivered in partnership with HRIT and GBS to ensure an agile delivery environment and delivered through both vendor and in-house developed solutions with a strong focus on experience and integration of data to simplify workflows.Accountabilities
- Design the Reward Digital HR strategy and roadmap in partnership with the Reward COE to address current and future business needs.
- Create a multi-year Reward Digital strategy, aligned to business and functional needs and requirements.
- Evaluate, implement, optimise, and manage reward technology solutions that streamline and automate Reward processes through automation and AI.
- Provide overall prioritisation of Reward technology demand and requirements and management of capacity and resources, developing short and long-term operating objectives for the team.
- Plan and create the annual Digital budget in relation to Digital Reward projects.
- Lead cross-functional Digital Reward projects both within HR and with GBS and HRIT partners.
- Understand the data integration landscape and implement solutions to best support Reward insights.
- Explore new functionality needed and continue to evolve and enhance products, e.g., working with the central HR process automation team to define a roadmap of automation opportunities, and partner with HRIT / GBS on the most appropriate solutions.
- Create and implement adoption strategies to ensure that all systems are leveraged as broadly and effectively as possible.
- Partner with business partners based on trust and transparency to ensure that the project roadmap continuously reflects business priorities as projects and business needs change.
- Manage the budget, spend, and investment needs and consistently report on progress.
- Translate Reward strategy to digital strategy and bring in the outside in where needed.
- Form part of the Reward COE leadership team via a dotted line, ensuring a forward-looking roadmap linked to COE strategy and business strategy.
Essential Skills/Experience
- Strong technical foundation and people operations background, including deep domain experience in supporting Reward technologies such as Syndio, Workhuman, Payscale, Weichert Workforce Mobility Inc., Fragomem, Equatex Global Share Plan Services, Benefex, MetLife, Shareworks, Benify, TELUS Health Wellbeing Solutions,
- Ability to drive consensus and provide direction as a hands-on subject matter expert capable of delivering technology solutions required to solve sophisticated business challenges, leveraging strong expertise on the full life cycle of HR processes.
- Prior experience in a similar role at the Senior
- Proven track record of successful HR technology strategy design, implementation, and management.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and Business Partners.
- Innovative approach with the ability to evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance HR operations.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioiritise, plan, and implement multiple projects effectively.

- Global Perspective: Experience in working with diverse and global teams, understanding cultural nuances, and aligning HR processes to cater to a diverse workforce.
- Change Leadership: Ability to lead and inspire change, encouraging a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the HR function and across the organization.
- Regulatory Compliance: Understanding of HR regulations and compliance requirements, ensuring that all HR processes and technology solutions adhere to legal and regulatory standards.
- Effective Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical collaborators and build consensus around process improvements.
- Understanding data privacy laws and following standard methodologies to maintain the security and integrity of HR data within digital HR systems and processes.
