The location, scale, variety and complexity of the estate are unparalleled in the sector, including world-leading research, teaching, offices and student accommodation within our Bloomsbury and UCL East campus, at Stratford.About the roleThe Estates Digital Transformation Manager will support the delivery of digital and data projects into Business-As-Usual by working with end-users to understand the impacts of digital change on ways of working.
They will drive the successful implementation of digital and data change to support the running of the Estates function.
UCL Estates are on a journey to improve digital and data maturity. This role will continue to build maturity both through IWMS and other digital/data initiatives.About you
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
- Qualification in PPM, PRINCE2 etc. or other recognised project management methodologies.
- Proven programme management experience & understanding of the principles and frameworks of successful change and project/programme management.
- Understanding of project delivery and acceptance processes in a fast moving environment
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally to a wide range of people at all levels including complex and/or technical issues to non-specialists.
- Extensive experience of acting as a bridge between digital delivery and operational teams.
- Proven ability of working on the ground with end-users to create a consistent change, delivering changes to operational processes and ways of working to ensure digital and data benefits are realised.
- Experience in working on data transformation projects from discovery to delivery and achieving a step-change in management of data, enabling the organisation to make data-driven decisions.
- Experience of working with integrated work management and data management systems in an Estates environment.
- Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills – ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders, from senior leadership to junior grades.
- Proven ability to bring people on a journey whether direct line reports or working through other Estates teams.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to effectively plan and prioritize workload. Ability to identify areas for action and create ideas for improvements.
- Independent thinker with a proactive, flexible approach and ability to meet tight deadlines. Enthusiastic, versatile, motivated, with a ‘can do’ attitude
- The post-holder will maintain an awareness and observation of Fire and Health & Safety Regulations.
