Job DescriptionDungarvin is looking for dedicated Direct Support Professionals to provide direct care support to people with developmental disabilities in our Day Program. Candidates will have a desire to create a lasting positive impact on people’s lives and enjoy coaching, mentoring, and encouraging others to reach their goals.What You Get To Do:

  • Assist the persons served to direct the course of their own lives, develop and maintain relationships, and participate in their communities
  • Assist individuals with planning and achieving goals
  • Assist with direct care and support with daily activities such as mealtime and personal care
  • Drive the company van or small bus to activities in the community
  • Follow protocols and procedures to maintain a healthy and safe environment
  • Assist persons served to direct the course of their own lives, develop, and maintain relationships, and participate in their communities.
  • Assist individuals with planning and achieving goals.
  • Assist with direct care and support with daily activities, such as mealtime and personal cares.
  • Plan various activities, outings, and workshops, to improve life skills and help build independence.

QualificationsWhat Makes You a Great Fit:

  • Previous experience working with persons with disabilities
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to drive the company van
  • 18 years or older
  • Able to lift/transfer 50 pounds
