Purpose and Mission

Responsible for providing financial leadership and support to a subdomain of a Business Unit active in Automotive Tire Cords segment. This role involves partnering with regional management to drive financial performance, ensure compliance, and support strategic decision-making.

About the Role

Your Impact as Commercial Finance Director

  • Provide financial modelling and strategic support for contract negotiations with Global and Regional customers, defining optimal commercial offers (price–volume mix) to maximize profitability and customer value;
  • Ensure quotation governance by preparing individual price quotations in collaboration with the Commercial Lead, in response to customer requests;
  • Lead strategic and operational sales planning and forecasting activities;
  • Deliver monthly sales margin reporting, identifying optimization opportunities and performance drivers;
  • Manage pricing across strategic, operational, and new product dimensions, including solutions and services;
  • Support commercial and innovation projects by developing business cases for new product development; partner with R&D on pricing assumptions, product lifecycle decisions, and customer offerings;
  • Lead the Monthly Pricing Council, coordinating cross-functional alignment and decision-making;
  • Conduct ad hoc profitability and financial analyses for the Tire Reinforcement leadership team.

About You

Essential skills & competencies

  • You hold a master’s degree in business administration, Economic Sciences, Sciences or comparable by experience;
  • You have 5+ years’ experience in Commercial Finance in a relevant and international environment; have a delivery record of accomplishment in, and understanding of financial, market & trade and macro-economic trends that influence the business in relevant industry or industries;
  • You are able to co-create, align and execute on the strategic vision and plan of your unit as part of the Bekaert strategy and are able to drive and engage a diverse community through influencing rather than hierarchy;
  • Effective communication skills and even better listening skills that allows you to get the voice of the stakeholders;
  • Experience with modern/digital systems to support a structured way of working;
  • Analytical mindset & capabilities to deep-dive financial analysis;
  • You can navigate your network to deliver and to cut through complexity, based on customer focus and an agile way of working;
  • You demonstrate a “better together” spirit while you support, challenge, drive execution and deliver results;
  • You challenge the status quo, stimulate innovation and continuous improvement;
  • You are fluent in English (oral and written);
  • You are willing to travel to different locations across the globe.
