You will lead a team of security experts and analysts, ensuring seamless delivery of enterprise-wide identity solutions, and foster a culture of security across the organization.AccountabilitiesIn this role, you will:
- Provide strategic leadership to the Core Banking, Security Development, and Application Security Advisory teams, ensuring alignment with enterprise security objectives.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and senior leaders to identify and mitigate risks in key banking applications and platforms.
- Drive the development and implementation of security best practices, frameworks, and advisory programs that enhance application security across ATB.
- Advise on security development strategy, working with developers to embed security throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Foster a culture of security awareness within your teams, ensuring continuous growth, mentorship, and professional development.
- Deliver measurable improvements by aligning security strategies with evolving regulatory requirements, industry standards, and emerging threats.
- Consult with business units and leadership on emerging security risks, ensuring alignment of security strategies with evolving regulatory requirements, industry standards, and threats.
You will be a key leader, responsible for ensuring ATB is protected against today and tomorrow’s threats while driving innovation and supporting business growth. This role requires a hands-on, collaborative leader who can balance technical expertise with strategic vision.Skills, experience & requirements
- 8+ years of leadership experience within enterprise IT, ideally focused on or supporting Cybersecurity.
- Application & Cloud security experience preferred.
- Deep understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST) with a focus on risk mitigation, compliance, and the principle of least privilege.
- Industry certifications (or actively pursuing) such as CISSP, CISM, or Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer (PCSE).
- Proven experience extracting value from ITSM platforms, such as ServiceNow to enhance process efficiency and operational performance.
- Ability to align security practices with business goals, clearly communicating technical strategies to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong process optimization skills, with a track record of improving and translating security processes to meet evolving needs.
- Experience with Agile frameworks, fostering collaboration between security, development, and operations teams.
- Cross-platform expertise across Windows, MacOS, and Linux, with the ability to create and drive holistic security strategies.
- Leadership experience in building and mentoring high-performing teams, fostering growth through coaching and development.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with experience engaging executives, auditors, and third-party vendors.
- Proven success leading large-scale security transformations, including identity governance, privileged access management, and application security integration.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) frameworks, ensuring scalable access governance aligned with organizational roles and minimizing excessive privilege.
