Identifying and developing strategies that help drive growth, improve products and value proposition, and ensure consistency and scalability of our Merchant Services (MS) offering across the bank’s footprint. Provides strategic direction on all product verticals, accountable for driving commercialization and high-priority transformation initiatives across the organization.What You’ll Do:

  • Lead MS product strategy, ensuring that the bank has competitive capabilities, delivers profitable growth, and drives both market- and wallet-share penetration of its products.
  • Support co-creation and delivery of projects and programs to enable the Business Line strategies, acting as a liaison between Sales, Segments, Product, Technology, and Operations.
  • Lead the end-to-end commercialization framework for our offering, across geographies and go-to-market models.
  • Set performance objectives and KPIs to measure results and forecast the business.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to ensure BNS’ value proposition is competitive and aligned with market trends, competition, and client demands; ensuring optimal integration with existing business processes and alignment to business priorities.
  • Scout, establish, develop, and nurture partnerships with key players in the industry (processors, payment networks, hardware and software providers, aggregators, ISVs, etc.).
  • Drive and execute customer segmentation and pricing strategies to meet local and segment-specific business objectives.
  • Partner closely with Retail, Commercial, and GBM leadership to ensure close alignment between MS’ objectives and relationship/segment objectives.
  • Direct day-to-day activities in a manner consistent with the Bank’s risk culture and the relevant risk appetite statement and limits. Communicate the Bank’s risk culture and risk appetite statement throughout their teams.
  • Lead and drive a customer-focused culture throughout the team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Create an environment in which the team pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to, and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to Risk Management.
  • Build a high-performance environment and implement a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates the team by fostering an inclusive work environment; communicating vision/values/business strategy and managing succession and development planning for the team.

What You’ll Bring:

  • MBA or similar advanced degree or equivalent experience.
  • Significant experience in Merchant Services (Acquiring), preferably at an acquirer and/or processor and/or network.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in product management and strategy.
  • Understanding of digital-first product development and delivery aimed at addressing clients’ pain points.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully developing products at scale, growing customer adoption, and working closely with external partners.
