Our success depends heavily on the commitment and skills of our people.We are looking for a Director of Commonwealth Leadership Institute to join us on a Part-time, Fixed-term basis, working 7.4 hours per week.THE ROLEThe post holder will develop the Commonwealth Leadership Institute as part of an emerging collaboration between the University and a wide reaching network across Wales, the UK and internationally. Working across Institutes, this reflects ambitions of the Institute of Management and Health (IMH) to further develop a strong international agenda across its disciplines. The role will sit jointly across IMH and the Institute of Education and Humanities, which hosts prestigious UNESCO initiatives, along with other key relationships based upon its Future Generations and Sustainability agendas. Therefore, a core element of the delivery will be developing the synergies between these activities for the benefit of all stakeholders.Initially the post is fixed term for a 2 year period, but with review of successful outcomes we intend to extend.Please view the Job Description for further details, where you will also find a list of the essential and desirable ‘Person Specification’ criteria.REQUIREMENTSTo be considered for this role, you will need:

  • PhD in a relevant field.
  • Relevant professional recognition commensurate with the level of working for the role Ability and preparedness to work flexibly in terms of duties, shift patterns, campus locations and to respond to business needs at short notice.
  • Significant experience of working at all levels in high-profile collaborations.
  • Ability to realise effective collaborations for leadership development.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • A strong track record in securing resources for major multi-partite initiatives.
  • Ambition and vision, together with the ability to instil the same in others.
  • An ability to lead in an innovative, entrepreneurial manner to establish a sustainable, dynamic future for the Institute.
