Job #4686 – Do you want to play a critical role in the strategic planning and analysis of a successful and well-respected organization? If so, look no further! Our client is looking for an experienced senior level finance professional to step in as their new Director of Finance on a full-time basis! The ideal candidate is able to meet competing deadlines and enjoys improving processes and inefficiencies. Main responsibilities include:

• Oversee all aspects of the purchasing cycle and accounts receivable functions
• Maintain trust accounts and charitable donation receipts, disbursements and the general ledger
• Process month-end general ledger transactions and bank reconciliations
• Develop and maintain finance and accounting policies and procedures and ensure compliance
• Prepare annual budgets and evaluate financial statements and reports and provide analysis
• Liaise with agency funders and auditors as needed
• Supervise and mentor finance staff
• Prepare and present financial presentations for the leadership team ad board of directors
• Assist with special projects as needed

Qualifications
Mandatory:
The main qualifications for this role include:

• Post-secondary education in accounting or finance
• CPA designation
• 5+ years’ experience in a senior finance level position
• Supervisory experience
• Solid knowledge of financial theories, principles and practices
• Strong analytical and financial analysis skills

Definite Assets:

• Previous experience in a not-for-profit and/or unionized environment
• Oracle
• Bilingual
