Description:Director of Finance and Accounting PostingInstroTek, Inc. is seeking a strategic and experienced Director to oversee the financial and accounting functions of the company. This position’s responsibilities include managing financial risk, financial planning and modeling, reporting and record-keeping, compliance, guiding financial strategies, leadership and management of the accounting team. This position requires a hands-on individual who is fully involved with all the financial and accounting functions of the company.We are a manufacturing company with a strong R&D team located in RTP, NC. Our products are used worldwide for quality control and inspection.To qualify for this position, we require the candidate to have a BS degree in accounting, finance or equivalent (MBA preferred) with ten plus years of experience in a senior financial managerial role. Experience with ERP programs and familiarity with organizations conducting research, development and manufacturing is a key requirement. Professional accreditation such as CPA is a plus.Primary Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day oversight and hands-on involvement with all financial and accounting functions
  • Financial planning and modeling for future expenditures, investments, expenses, and other financial demands
  • Analyze the company’s financial performance and market trends
  • Develop and implement financial strategies in-line with company goals and assist as needed with the implementation of business plans that align with the long-term goals of the company
  • Drive process improvements and efficiency gains in accounting operations
  • Collect and manage financial data and develop and track key performance indicators across the organization
  • Create and enforce internal accounting and financial policies
  • Manage the process and third-party advisors regarding the company’s annual audit and tax filings
  • In-depth financial analysis and management of financial reports, financial statements, taxes, and other reports
  • Execute month-end closings, financial forecasts, budget preparation process and controls, cost accounting, audits, and reporting
  • Continually assess and improve financial reporting and closing processes to enhance controls, efficiency, accuracy, and transparency
  • Work with other company leaders and executives to coordinate planning and establish priorities for the planning process
  • Effectively coach and lead the accounting team with continued professional development, one on one coaching, and effective accountability
  • Review and implement accounting standards, internal policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP
  • Other accounting and financial related tasks, projects, assignments as needed and requested.

Requirements:Qualifications/ Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven experience in finance and accounting
  • Experience working with Manufacturing teams and inventory management
  • Experience in revenue cycle management and revenue management
  • Ability to manage corporate accounting functions effectively
  • Proficient in financial planning and forecasting
  • Excellent leadership skills and ability to communicate clearly and effectively with leadership among various departments
  • Creates a sense of trust and reliability with internal and external customers
  • Exhibit a high-level of professionalism, diplomacy, discretion and confidentiality
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrates confidence balanced with humility
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic, willing to be available, approachable and manage a flexible work schedule

Requirements/ Experience, Education and Background:

  • Accounting Manager and leadership experience in production environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
  • CPA certification strongly preferred
  • 10 plus years of experience in accounting roles, with a background in inventory management
  • Strong background in financial analysis
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Proficiency in Excel, spreadsheets and other software systems, with the ability to manipulate data and migrate between ERP systems
  • Experience using an enterprise resource planning software
