JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Head Football Coach, the Director of Football Operations will oversee and supervise the day-to-day administrative operations of the University’s football program. This position will coordinate all aspects of operational activities such as team travel, post season trips, training camps, recruitment events, and football alumni events. The Director of Football Operations will also be responsible for developing and managing the football program’s operational budget as well as other administrative support tasks.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1.) Football Operations and Supervision
- Oversee and supervise the day-to-day administrative operations of the football program. In addition, oversee and supervise all its major components to include, but not limited to, team travel, post season trips, training camp and football alumni events.
2.) Administrative Responsibilities
- Manage the program’s operating and travel budgets. Create and maintain a yearly calendar. Serve as the liaison to the athletic administration, compliance administration, academics, university housing and dining administration, parents association, Teamworks Software service, and Pioneer Football League office.
3.) Recruiting
- Assist with the organization’s official and unofficial recruiting visits to include the summer prospect camp.
4.) Engagement
- Assist the Head Football Coach by attending intercollegiate athletics, university alumni and fundraising events. Work with the Sports Information Director to participate in approved media requests.
5.)Other Duties as Assigned
- Assist and/or complete other duties that may be assigned by the VP and Director of Athletics, Football Sport Administrator or Head Football Coach.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Five years of program management experience preferably at the collegiate level
Preferred Qualifications
- A master’s degree
- Working knowledge of NCAA compliance rules and regulations
An equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills have been acquired may be substituted.
