Our client is a large national dental laboratory. They are growing and looking for a Strategic Accounts Manager. The Strategic Accounts Manager is responsible for hunting new dental business with the intent of developing relationships with large, multi-state DSOs. The SAM achieves sales quotas and assigned account objectives by identifying and securing new strategic partnerships with C-Level executives. Collaborates with Business Development Associates in introducing our clients services to clinics that are part of newly acquired DSO’s, presenting the full range of products and services to the customer, monitoring customer sales performance and ensuring customer needs and expectations are met.
Responsibilities/Tasks
- Plan, execute and manage effective sales strategy to meet or exceed account growth and revenue expectations
- Establish, develop and maintain relationships with prospective customers to generate new business
- Makes telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations to prospective customers
- Coordinates sales effort with leadership and technical service groups
- Partner with the dental customer to assist in the success of their practice and the success of our client’s laboratory
- Continuously track the offices that belong to the assigned DSO’s.
- Partner with the Customer Onboarding Team to ensure each office has a proper site initiation.
- Continuously track customer purchases and buying trends and determine sales opportunities
- Provide management with changes in customers financial, personnel or strategic status
- Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, other sales team members, Customer Onboarding, Field Support, customer service, or operations, in order to meet account performance objectives and customers’ expectations
- Meets monthly sales targets and account management goals
- Responsible for maintaining an effective and harmonious working relationship with other sales management and field personnel whose support is essential for success
- Conduct product training sessions at client locations (i.e., evening programs, regional meetings, DSO annual meetings, etc.)
- Record all training activity and client contact information in CRM
- Proactively contact, sell, and educate new and former clients as needed
- Qualifications (Experience, Education, Licensure, Certification)
Qualifications
- Bachelors’ degree and/or five years of B2B sales experience
- MUST HAVE C-SUITE DSO CONTACTS and experience handling large Special Markets/DSO
- Previous dental lab experience highly preferred
- Previous outside sales experience in dental or medical device is helpful
- Ability to effectively present information, communicate and respond to questions clearly and persuasively with clients, management and other key members of the company while maintaining a high level of professionalism
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents in English, such as professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write reports and business correspondence
- Strong attention to detail
- Willing to travel extensively
- Ability to multi-task, use personal judgment and utilize strong decision-making skills
- Knowledge of Windows operating systems software including but no limited to Word and Excel
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- High level of technical and material knowledge of dental products/terminology
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must have a dependable car that can be used for company travel for which appropriate reimbursement is provided
