Job description

LMU Loyola Law School (LLS), located in Los Angeles, California, invites applications for the full-time position of Director of the Graduate Tax Program and Associate Clinical Professor of Law, a non-tenure track clinical faculty position. The position will commence as soon as possible during the current (2023-2024) Academic year.

LLS launched its Graduate Tax Program in 2001 to provide rigorous in-person training in tax law for students in the southern California region. Its Tax LLM Program has been ranked among the top 10 such programs nationally for many years. In 2008, LLS launched a three-year Joint JD/Tax LLM program, the first of its kind in the country, and initiated its Summer Tax Intensive Program, again the first of its kind in the country, through which JD students can obtain 12 units of intensive tax training prior to their 2L fall on-campus interviews. In 2019, LLS also launched an online Tax LLM program, now the 3rd-ranked such program in the United States. Members of the full-time tax faculty of LLS, including the Director, teach courses in the Graduate Tax Program curriculum. Adjuncts drawn from southern California’s sophisticated tax bar also teach in the Program. The principal responsibility of the new Director will be to move the Program forward.
