Position: Director of Treasury
Location: Montreal EastIf you are looking for a stable and well-established company offering an excellent working environment, our client could be the employer for you! Pursuing their expansion, they need to hire a Director of Treasury on a permanent basis. In this newly created position, you will be working in a large team, and monitor the cash transactions for the Canadian divisions.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 8 to 10 years of accounting experience (client transactions, fund reconciliations and cash flow) and will be able to work in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:– Perform analysis and complex reporting
– Manage cash flow and bank transactions
– Investigate irregularities and perform the proper journal entry
– Do bank and credit card negotiation of agreement
– Prepare treasury reports and do reconciliation of intercompany accounts
– Take care of the optimisation and implementation of processes, consolidation of acquisitions, and forecast related to treasury
– Execute other related tasks
– Oversee and manage all treasury operations including cash management, short-term investments, cash forecasting, borrowing, and bank relationships
– Develop and implement strategies to optimize cash flow and liquidity management
– Oversee banking matters, credit risk, cash management, leasing, and financial risk
– Manage an eight-member treasury team
– Develop and implement short-term cash forecast modelsRequirements:– Bachelor’s degree and CPA or MBA
– 8 to 10 years of relevant experience – essential
– Dynamism and professionalism
– Autonomy and motivation
– Experience with process improvement and banking
