Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?The Director Regional Social Impact is responsible for leading and executing RBC’s regional Social Impact strategy in Canada on behalf of RBC and the RBC Foundation. The role has accountability to drive innovation in the social impact space while promoting strong and responsive relationships between RBC and the communities it serves, while strengthening RBC’s brand-positioning across multiple audiences. Working collaboratively across RBC, the role helps to mobilize RBC’s strategic priorities through the development of regional and local partnerships that focus on two key ambition areas: Skills for a Thriving Future and Equitable Opportunities for Prosperity.What will you do?

  • Lead a team of 8 Regional Managers, Social Impact, providing expertise and coaching on partnership development, strategic alignment to RBC’s purpose framework while ensuring alignment to the RBC Global Community Investment Policy
  • Leads the strategy, execution, and stewardship of the RBC Community Infrastructure Fund
  • Support regional budget planning and execution of regional donations.
  • Work with regional marketing and citizenship partners to drive brand attribution both locally and nationally.
  • Support the integrated regional planning in coordination with national office and across the Sustainability and Impact team.
  • Works with regions, national office, and enterprise partners to ensure regional partnership communications and activations are on-brand and aligned to RBC purpose framework.
  • Optimize and manage budgets and resources by working with the broader Social Impact team to look for synergies and points of integration.

What do you need to succeed?Must-have

  • Post-Secondary (college or university) degree
  • 5+ years of experience in partnership development with the charitable sector
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Experience leading a diverse team.
  • Experience managing a complex budget

Nice-to-have

  • Familiarity and experience with project management tools and excel
  • Support campaign measurement, assessment, and continuous response alignment
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in philanthropy
