Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?
This role leads the risk and cyber portions of the Wealth Management Technology (WMT) 1B risk management function. Technical leader with 4 direct reports (total team size of 6), expert understanding of cyber security risk management, providing control and advisory services to: application development, support teams and the Wealth Management Business. Services provided cover IT & operational risk analysis, risk & compliance exposure reporting, risk awareness & advisory, and regulatory response.What will you do?
- Lead identification, assessment and treatment recommendations for IT & Operational risks, ensuring appropriate management in RBC’s risk register
- Act as WMT product owner for enterprise cyber and risk initiatives/campaigns, ensuring appropriate prioritization and stakeholder engagement takes place
- Lead review of new and changed RBC IT policies & standards and identify impact on WMT applications and processes
- Lead vulnerability management process for WMT, ensuring that remediation SLAs are adhered to
- Monitor emerging risks, raising appropriate awareness and mitigations to WMT stakeholders
- Lead WMT IT & Operational risk awareness program
- Lead preparation and execution of executive level (VPs and Senior Directors) risk profile meetings
What do you need to succeed?Must-have
- 10 years + conducting threat risk assessments on enterprise applications
- Expert knowledge in IT and operational risk management methodologies/frameworks (e.g. NIST CSF and STRIDE) and tools
- Expert knowledge of IT infrastructure & software security architectures (e.g. vulnerability management, encryption, Pentesting, SAST/DAST, and Identity and Access Management)
- Expert communication (verbal and written) skills, including strong appreciation of relationship management
- Strong technical knowledge and experience covering operating systems (e.g. Unix, Windows, zOS) and database systems (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase, DB2)
- CISSP Certification
- CRISC Certification
Nice-to-have
- CCSP certification
- Knowledge of GRC tools (e.g. ServiceNow, Archer)
- Knowledge of Wealth Management/Financial Services industry
