What is the opportunity?

The ALM execution team is looking for someone to lead management of RBC’s structural FX position. The Director, Structural FX Hedging will have to work closely with the subsidiary treasury management teams, hedge accounting and funding to assess the banks exposure to foreign currencies, propose and execute hedges to keep the bank at the target exposure. The incumbent will also have responsibility to face the market to manage the NOSTRO and other monthly and project-based FX exposures as and when they arise.

What you will do?

  • Execute all hedging related to RBC’s structural FX hedging program
  • Execute spot transactions for manage foreign currency balances that arise throughout the CFO function
  • Manage dealer relationships to ensure that RBC continues to receive best execution
  • Liaise with Hedge Accounting and the Subsidiary Treasury Teams to ensure that the hedging programs remain fit for purpose
  • Produce regular reporting on the structural FX position

What you need to succeed?

Must Have

  • 5+ years’ experience in finance in buy or sell side FX trading or sales
  • Previous balance sheet management or treasury experience
  • CPA, CFA or degree in finance
  • Knowledge of derivatives, portfolio reporting, P&L reporting
  • Knowledge of bank balance sheet mechanics particularly as relates to structural positioning. Knowledge of relevant banking regulations, such as FRTB, BASEL

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Bloomberg, Derivative Pricing Models
