Requisition ID: 196272Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture.The Structured Risk and Funds Financing Team manages global portfolio of Non-Bank Financial Institutions including Regulated funds, Canadian Pension Funds, CCPs, select Broker / Dealers, Subscription finance, CLO Warehouses, ABLs amongst other products. As part of the team, you will have responsibility to lead the team and assess the risk of the portfolio and credit risk appetite of Structured Credit Risk and Funds Financing team.Job Responsibilities:As a Director you will provide guidance to Senior Managers and Managers and will:Lead the team and partner with various stakeholders to adjudicate on specific credits within the risk framework of the Bank’s policies under personal limits and escalate over limit/out of policy proposals to the Vice President/Senior Vice President and appropriate Credit Committees.Maintain oversight of covered industries within the Bank’s risk appetite, and keep up-to-date on industry developments and best practices.Liaise with the business and assist functions independently as part of the credit review and adjudication process.Contribute to the quality of the loan and trading portfolios through:Undertaking analysis of credit applications and providing recommendations;Monitoring the timely review of all applications and submissions and ensuring the accuracy thereof;Ensuring, where appropriate, documentation adequately protects the Bank’s interest;Ensuring the accuracy of data in various databases and reports; andDeveloping and maintaining extensive base of industry knowledge.Authorization of credits within the delegated limits jointly with appropriate banking counterpart, while following to the Banks’ underwriting guidelines.Attend Senior Credit Committee, as appropriate, and discuss the merits of credit applications as required.Oversee and contribute to the preparation of industry reports and other industry account information as requested.Contribute to profitable business development by participating in and providing managerial direction and guidance to team members.Ensure the maintenance of acceptable quality in the portfolio by scanning operating environment on an ongoing basis, monitoring the quality of accounts and providing constructive comments to field offices on credit applications and other submissions.Attract, manage and develop staff to ensure efficient operations, attainment of objectives and talent development.Other projects as required including but not limited to initiatives related to policies, processes, efficiencies, business acumen to assist technology upgrades, data accuracy etc.Job Requirements:10+ years progressive experience in a banking or credit capacity with experience in CLO, NAV Funding, Structured Finance, Capital Calls, CCPs, etcKnowledge of the Bank’s risk appetite, lending policies, procedures and practices including economic & regulatory requirements.Solid understanding of loan, derivative and other product structures.Ability to debate the merits and vulnerabilities of credit applications with Banking and Senior Credit Committee, approving/declining or providing recommendations as appropriate which requires highly developed communications skills.Knowledge of credit analysis frameworks, and experience in their application to complex financial institutions across multiple accounting, legal and regulatory jurisdictions globally.Knowledge of the financial sector and the main business activities of financial institutions, and ability to keep abreast of new products and developments in financial services market.Understanding of derivative products, sovereign (cross border) risks, deal structuring, due diligence & documentation, legal & accounting principles.Ability to manage a portfolio within a fast-paced, changing environment.Excellent analytical and time management skills with the ability to supportively lead a team and negotiate with client partners.Previous experience leading a team, attracting and developing talent.Postgraduate education in business or related with emphasis in finance, accounting, or business; or commensurate work experience.
