Establishes strategic partnerships with intragroup service providers and recipients, regional leads, key transfer pricing partners (Tax, Legal, Third Party Risk) and business line finance representatives in order to operationalize the Bank’s Transfer Pricing of Intragroup Services Framework.Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:The Director is responsible for governing the process for the creation of intra-group agreements, as well as charging for intragroup support services and projects. Key accountabilities include:
- Own, update and implement the Bank’s Global Transfer Pricing of Intragroup Services Framework
- Monitor and measure activities performed by the team and other areas of the bank and ensure they are in conformance with the program’s expectations. Assess program needs and provide periodic training and updates
- Oversee and facilitate the creation of service level agreements including: maintain and make necessary enhancements to workflow; assess services, cost drivers and maintain the service catalogue; liase with intragroup service providers and recipients, regional leads, key transfer pricing partners (Tax, Legal, Third Party Risk)
- Coordinate team resources to to compile, analyze and account for transfer pricing charge outs to the Bank’s foreign entities for services provided by head office departments. This also includes oversight into global charge out processes and related accounting
- Own the system tool, GIST, and coordinate with technology and project management teams to enhance the system effectiveness and useability
- Administer the inquiry and dispute resolution process and apply effective judgement where needed
- Ensure audit, compliance, tax and regulatory risks are proactively managed and implement mitigating actions, where required
- Continuously monitor activities including identification and implementation of initiatives that improve program effectiveness and efficiency
- Financial analysis and reporting duties including oversight of the business line expense allocations, business line rule maintenance, analysis of operating expenses and intercompany accounting
- Participate in special projects and ad hoc assignments as required.
- Direct day-to-day activities in a manner consistent with the Bank’s risk culture and the relevant risk appetite statement and limits. Communicate the Bank’s risk culture and risk appetite statement throughout their teams.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:
- Knowledge of transfer pricing and tax strategies for intra-group arrangements
- Strong communication skills such as the ability to communicate a vision, analysis/findings and present ideas in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong leadership skills, coaching skills and stewardship capabilities in a complex and changing environment. Requires the ability to manage, direct and coach staff, and to cope with multiple priorities, quick turn-around times, and tight deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking and provide forward thinking recommendations.
- Highly adept in problem solving and managing conflict and stakeholder expectations
- Highly organized, able to work independently, with demonstrated experience in solving problems and making decisions in time pressured environments. This role requires the ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure for sustained periods of time and multi-task effectively.
- Strong team player with proven ability to work effectively with others to achieve common objectives. A strong customer focus and ability to initiate and implement change is required.
- Post-secondary degree in business/finance/accounting is required
- Professional accounting designation is preferred
- Proficient knowledge of PeopleSoft EGL, OBI, Excel, Power Point
- Spanish is an asset
