If this sounds exciting to you, join the herd!About the OpportunityWe are looking for an experienced Director, Treasury to lead a critical departmental function that has grown in size and complexity, requiring more focus and attention to meet the needs of our growing organization. Not only will this position be responsible for overseeing the banking, cash flow, and credit facilities of the company but will also lead cash operations and the Finance shared services team supporting A/P, A/R, and procurement.Job DutiesFunding (40%):
- Assist with management of credit facilities, including monitoring cash balances, rollover notices, interest and fees accruals, debt cost amortization, and preparation of quarterly compliance packages
- Assist in financing arrangements such as syndicated facilities, private placement, private equity, etc.
- Reporting to various lending groups, including borrowings related to preferred debt, syndicated facilities and asset backed-securities.
Cash Management and Liquidity (25%):
- Lead the short- and medium-term cash flow forecasts, analyze forecast variance, and collaborate with business controllers to improve forecast accuracy.
- Work with the cash operations team to continuously improve payment products, platforms and collections strategies.
- Act as a payment approver for wires, ACH and cheques.
System Automation and Strategic Initiatives (15%):
- Assist in treasury automation initiatives, including system implementations and process enhancements.
Banking Relationships (10%):
- Proactively managing bank relations (US, Canada and international), including periodic relationship review, analysis of transaction volumes, cash management and payment fees, and pricing renegotiations.
FX and Interest Rate Management (10%):
- Forecast foreign exchange exposures.
- Conducting foreign exchange and interest rate hedging transactions.
- Maintain all hedging transaction records.
- Drawdown window forwards based on forecasted cash needs and monitor bank executions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or similar field – MBA strong plus.
- CPA, CTP, or CFA designation or equivalent experience.
- Deep expert level understanding of cash management principles and banking systems and processes.
- A minimum of 5 years of corporate finance experience is required.
- Prior treasury experience gained from exposure to a complex corporate treasury environment is desired.
- Strong Excel skills preferred.
- Passionate about learning specialized treasury knowledge and techniques.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across functions and various levels of the organization, including non-finance personnel.
- A drive to maintain the highest standards of accuracy and precision; well-organized, and capable of handling multiple tasks and tight deadlines. #LI-NA1 #LI-Remote
The base salary range for this position is $141,600 to $166,600. Range shown in $CAD for Canadian residents. Other countries will differ. Range may vary on a number of factors including, but not limited to: location, experience and qualifications.
