Our team members have what they need to make a meaningful impact and are truly valued for who they are and what they contribute.To learn more about CIBC, please visitWhat You’ll Be DoingReporting to the Executive Director of Family Enterprise Advising, the Director, Wealth Strategies is accountable for acting as the subject matter expert on complex Financial Planning, Tax, Trust, Estate, and Family Enterprise Advising matters for high profile and ultra-high net-worth clients in province of British Columbia. In addition to the advisory, sales and client-facing accountabilities, the incumbent will act as an ambassador for all Wealth Management areas to internal partners and clients. The role includes representing CIBC Family Office at local client and industry events. The incumbent is responsible for leading and advocating the wealth integrated offer in their markets and as such, provides informal leadership and mentorship to other wealth professionals in the market.At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview.The pay range for this role is $111,060.00 – $166,600.00How You’ll SucceedIn addition to providing expertise to their own referral sources, the incumbent is also accountable for undertaking and fulfilling the following role accountabilities:
- Complex Planning Solutions- You provide complex planning and advice strategies to ultra-high net-worth clients focusing on financial planning suitability recommendations. In providing advice to clients, you may work closely with other CIBC professionals in generating comprehensive recommendations.
- CIBC Ambassador- Promote our brand, focus on holistic advice and initiatives through CIBC Work Place, internal and external videos, public speaking and client events.
- Partnerships- Work closely with Wealth and Retail Distribution senior leadership team to – promote and support business development and local initiatives. Focus on Family Enterprise planning initiatives including Business Succession Planning and Philanthropic strategies for ultra-high net-worth clients.
- Client Acquisition & Retention- Increase the acquisition, loyalty and consolidation of existing ultra-high net-worth clients across CIBC; and increase the depth and breath of planning through the wealth management integrated offer.

- You have knowledge in the following area: tax, investment management, financial planning, law, trust, credit, commercial banking and private banking.
- You can demonstrate experience as a financial professional working with clients with significant assets and wealth management complexities. You have 10-15 years of financial experience focused in wealth planning. You have a financial planning designation (CFP or IQPF) in good standing. Consideration will be given to individuals holding a FEA, CPA, LLB,. LLQP or TEP designation.
