Safer Rig Services part of the RSK Group have a unique opportunity for a Drilling Fitter/Inspector to join their team. Ideally the successful candidate will be based in the North of England as the role will be mainly on site.Safer Rig Services offers a high-quality, end-to-end solution for the complete management of drilling rig equipment and for the teams using it.Our three-step approach ensures that it provides a full complement of services that cover each area of rig maintenance, including personnel and training, safety and rig conditioning, legal compliance and assurance services.Key Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining a safe working environment for your self and others at all times
  • Being the businesses face to the client and building good working relationships with our customers.
  • Inspecting drilling safety critical equipment, including items defined by LOLER and PUWER
  • Auditing site activities in line with British standards and industry protocols
  • Maintaining a high level of professionalism and being judicious over decision making.
  • you will be trained and expected to maintain/ repair lifting equipment for customers often away from base.
  • Carry out through examinations in a timely manner being able to self manage work load delivered from company database for inspections
  • Be highly motivated to build client relationships and maintain them
  • Always pass consistent judgment of equipment inspections and stand by them
  • Always work with a customer to reach a solution

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Prior experience in the land drilling industry is required.
  • Some form of prior inspecting experience is required
  • Training on the businesses bespoke inspection system will be given
  • Industry recognised lifting equipment through examination qualification such as NPORS, LEEA ect will be required.
  • Good mechanical knowledge of how drilling machines and there components work will be required.

Salary & Benefits:

  • Salary £36,500
