Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Dust Cart Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage various driving tasks.You will also be assisting loading the vehicle so physical fitness is essential.Start time 04.00amTransport required due to start time and location.You will be working with other crew members so the ability to get on with other people is a must.Duties
- Safely operate vehicles for the delivery of goods to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Perform basic mechanical checks and maintenance on vehicles as needed.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
- Assist in warehouse duties when not on the road, including inventory management and organisation.
Requirements
- Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to interact with team members and clients effectively.
- Ability to work independently and in a team and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Physical capability to lift heavy items and perform manual handling tasks as required.
