Without gigabit-capable broadband, some companies even resorted to biking memory sticks around the city, simply to share files with clients.Although still in a junior role, David took the initiative and successfully made the business case for £2.8 million of European funding to support connectivity for small businesses across Westminster. Feedback from businesses has been overwhelmingly positive as the project has enhanced their communications with clients. The new connectivity allows them to make video calls and work remotely. As the pandemic hit and many more people needed to work from home, it became clear just how vital this investment had been.Fast-forward a few years. Westminster is leading the way for connectivity, as a result of the project businesses are thriving, and David is heading up a service of his own responsible for delivery of the Smart City strategy.The Role:As a Dynamics Support Application Officer, you can make your own powerful contribution within our fast-paced Digital and Innovation Department. Putting our local community and staff at the heart of every decision that we make, we are focused on delivering support services that ensure the smooth operation of the Council’s digital platforms and applications. And in doing so, we enhance the lives of Westminster’s residents and the success of local businesses.To ensure we are creating the most innovative and responsive technology solutions, you will therefore be responsible for handling day-to-day support and service requests, ensuring they are managed and delivered in the most efficient way.Working with numerous teams and disciplines across Westminster City Council, you will provide first-line and second-line support as you both maintain existing Dynamics CRM 365 applications, and assist in the onboarding and integration of new ones.Supported by a multidisciplinary team utilising agile methodologies and cutting-edge tools, this is a unique chance to handle anything from testing activities and troubleshooting CRM issues, through to implementing vital business workflows via sector-leading tools and features.Always ready to identify where improvements could be made, you will remain focused on helping us achieve our two-year vision, while making incremental progress that delivers optimum results for the long-term. As such, your duties will be immensely varied, and will include extracting, assessing and optimising data capacity and performance, producing reports, overseeing information requests and working with the wider team to ensure CRM solutions are operating seamlessly with back-office systems.Please refer to the for more information.About You:If you’d like to work on projects that genuinely matter to people, then you will excel in our ambitious department. Coming from an application support or 2nd line support background, we will expect you to be well-versed in a broad range of digital technologies including Microsoft Dynamic CRM 365 and MS PowerPlatform. This will include a comprehensive understanding of Dynamics applications, websites, mobile apps, and digital platforms – and your determination to keep learning and bringing new knowledge to your colleagues will make you an invaluable part of our team!Committed to driving operational efficiency, you will be an analytical individual who can effectively triage issues. As a team-player who enjoys working in partnership with people from a wide variety of disciplines, your exceptional communication skills will mean you’re capable of explaining complex solutions in a way that can be understood by both technical and non-technical stakeholders. As such, we will expect you to have the ability to write and improve training guides, and deliver training to end users.
