The Instructional Designer/Developer will establish strong partnerships within Manulife by collaborating with subject matter experts from various departments. The candidate will need to demonstrate proficiency in online delivery methods to effectively support the advisors we serve. They should be self-motivated, adaptable, and excel in a fast-paced environment.Our ideal candidate will be customer-oriented with a background in Adult Education/Training and/or Instructional Design. The successful candidate should possess a strong ability to absorb and retain information and be adept at working autonomously.Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and manage innovative e-learning courses, applying sound instructional design principles and collaborating with various specialists and stakeholders.
- Utilize a range of tools and products to create engaging learning materials, while ensuring professional and interactive course delivery.
- Serve as project manager for e-learning course design and development, incorporating accessibility requirements and conducting analysis of test results and evaluations.
- Implement Continuing Education Learning and project pipeline strategies, collaborating with internal clients, subject matter experts, and cross-functional project teams.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, anticipate training needs, and develop project schedules with detailed client communication.
- Stay updated on industry innovations, design standards, and copyright laws, and complete administrative tasks including formative and summative assessments.

What we are looking for
- University/College degree in an education-related field preferred (B.Ed., Adult Education, or equivalent).
- 2-3 years of formal instructional design experience, including needs assessment using ADDIE or similar design models.
- Knowledge and application of adult learning principles.
- Proficiency in creating engaging content using Articulate suite and Adobe cloud.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bilingualism in English and French is a strong asset. If the successful candidate is located in Québec, proficiency in both languages will be required to support clients from various jurisdictions outside of Quebec.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to influence across all levels.
- Open to traveling from time to time and able to work (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and subject to change) from one of our offices.

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
