Job Description:OverviewWe’re looking for a bright, confident individual to join the Wonderly editorial team based in Volkswagen Group UK’s headquarters in Milton Keynes. This position would suit someone who is eager to learn, bursting with natural creativity and curiosity, and has an interest in cars and digital content.Wonderly is an award-winning progressive marketing agency, producing world-class content for global brands. On behalf of Volkswagen Group UK (VWG), we operate Hub, the main digital communication channel between its brands – including Volkswagen cars, Audi, SEAT and Skoda – and its national network of dealers, retailers and repair centres.The Hub team creates, edits and publishes news and reference articles spanning everything from the latest model launches and finance offers to minor specification and business updates. It’s a fast-moving corporate environment, where you’ll be expected to turn your hand to a variety of tasks, including writing, copy-editing and video production, and working day-to-day with our clients across the Group.The content we produce almost always has an automotive angle – we’re focused on delivering business-critical communications from VWG to thousands of car industry employees across the UK. It’s an exciting time in the industry, too: VWG is a global pioneer in electric and autonomous car tech, and our team is at the front line of helping it to inform, educate and inspire salespeople, technicians and business owners.If all that sounds interesting but daunting, don’t worry. You’ll be working with an experienced team of editors and content experts, and we’ll provide training and mentoring to support you. Former editorial assistants have gone on to become senior editors in the team, and you’ll be part of the wider Wonderly team, which itself forms part of the Haymarket Media Group, one of the world’s leading publishers.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include:

  • Writing news stories based on client briefs, ensuring accuracy and clarity
  • Editing and proofreading colleagues’ copy to maintain high editorial standards
  • Uploading and managing content in the Hub CMS, with careful attention to tagging and archiving
  • Organizing and prioritizing client requests via email, ensuring efficient communication
  • Developing creative and engaging ways to present information effectively

Skills / Experience / Knowledge / Minimum CriteriaYour skills, experience and knowledge/ Minimum role criteria

  • A degree in journalism or English, or demonstrable alternative experience and aptitude
  • Strong written and communication skills, with an eagle eye for detail
  • The ability to multitask, effectively managing your own workload and proactively seeking opportunities to help
  • Digital content experience, particularly using a CMS (eg Wordpress)
  • The ability to follow a robust content creation, sign-off and publishing process
  • An interest in cars (not essential, but useful)
