Temporary Education Management Administrative Officer required for a large public sector organisation based through the Belfast Trust.

Location: Beechill House, Belfast

Pay Per Hour: £11.11

Full Time / Part Time: Full Time

JOB SUMMARY/MAIN PURPOSE:

To provide administrative support within the Education Management Team at NIMDTA. The Education Management Department is responsible for administration of a variety of activities in medical and dental education and training. The main functions of the department are:

  • Trainee Professional Development and Events – Delivery of high-profile events including Welcome Events, Educational Excellence Day, Research for Clinicians, ENGAGE Quality Improvement programme and the prestigious ADEPT Clinical Leadership Programme and other opportunities for trainees
  • Faculty Development and Trainer Events – Delivery of high-profile events including Clinical Education Day and training courses for GMC Recognised Trainers)
  • Quality Management – Deanery Educational Monitoring Visits and Placement Quality Review to monitor the quality of training placements in Trusts.
  • Revalidation – Ensuring all doctors in training are revalidated with a License to Practise every 5 years.
  • Website Development and Social Media platforms

MAIN DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Provide high quality routine administrative support ensuring the effective operation of systems and procedures within the Department. * Provide administrative support for the organisation and delivery of events/programmes to include:

  • Provide administrative support for the organisation and delivery of events/programmes.
  • To assist with the administration and organisation of the Deanery Educational Monitoring Visits and Placement Quality Review meetings.
  • Provide administrative support for the Revalidation process (appraisal) for doctors in training. This includes gathering and collating appraisal documentation / evidence for review and liaising with training teams within NIMDTA.
  • Provide administrative support for the website and social media platforms. This includes using software to design and create leaflets and flyers for education and training events.
  • Any other duties that apply to the role.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

1a. 5 GCSE’s (including GCSE English Language and GCSE Maths, Grades A* – C)

OR

equivalent qualification to demonstrate literacy and numeracy OR Higher Qualification

OR

1b. 18 months relevant experience* 2. One year’s experience in the last 3 years of working with Microsoft Office. This must include excel and word.

*Relevant experience is defined as working in an administrative office environment providing high quality routine administrative support.
