Are you an experienced Teaching or Education colleague?Can you develop key relationships with children, their families and wider stakeholders?Can you champion inclusion and service delievery within our communities?An exciting opportunity has arisen for the appointment of an Inclusion Officer for Elective Home Education within the Inclusion team.The role is term-time only, with an additional fifteen days to be worked across the academic year.Our PurposeDue to rising numbers of children who are electively home educated, we work to support home visits to families who chosen to electively home educate their children.Your roleThe role requires a high level of inclusive practice, an understanding of why children may not engage with education, and the ability to work directly with children, young people, their families, and wider stakeholders such as social care, health teams and schools.Previous experience of working within a school setting is essential and ideally, the successful applicant will have either significant teaching experience or qualified teacher status.You will need a great understanding of teaching and learning strategies for both the primary and secondary phases of education and support families in accessing resources, exam entries and wider forms of support.For more information, please refer to the role profile and check out the role profile attached to the advert.
