We are seeking a high quality rural professional to join our young, hardworking, established team based in Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire to assist with the delivery of professional services to our existing client base and for new instructions. This interesting and rewarding role will engage the successful candidate in a wide range of rural property matters.The successful candidate will be involved in varied rural professional instructions to existing and new clients including valuation of rural property, agricultural tenancy matters, applications to the Agricultural Mortgage Corporation, renewable energy developments, land and estate management, sales and letting of rural property, utility claims and all matters relating to rural property and agricultural business.Applications are welcomed from qualified surveyors, APC placement candidates or those with a rural consultancy or rural business administration background.The suitable candidate will:

  • Have a background in agriculture and the rural sector.
  • Be a confident team worker and also demonstrate the ability to manage their own work load.
  • Have a pro-active attitude and a personable nature to engage and build a rapport and trust with clients.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills for dealing with clients, colleagues and professional contacts.
  • Show initiative, good attention to detail and maintain full client confidentiality.
  • Be able to work under pressure and prioritise work load to meet client deadlines.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence and have their own vehicle.
  • Have strong IT and social media skills.

In relation to the role:

  • Some knowledge of the Welsh language would be advantageous.
  • More experienced professionals would be expected to demonstrate a commercial attitude to the role with participation in business development and their own fee generation capacity.
  • Membership of CAAV would be advantageous.
  • The position offered is full time but consideration for part time and hybrid working will be available for the right candidate.
