We’re proud to power, protect and connect people and the planet, and we’re looking for passionate engineers to help us do it better than ever.WHAT YOU’LL BE DOINGYou’ll be part of the Technical Authority for Aerospace Engine Test Facilities, working from our Bristol site and supporting a broad mix of current and future programmes.Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing electrical engineering designs and calculations
- Leading requirements capture and converting them into detailed design solutions
- Producing specifications, technical reports and verification schedules
- Overseeing manufacture, installation, testing, and inspection of systems
- Supporting design reviews, peer approvals, and ensuring safety and compliance standards are met
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FORWe’re looking for engineers who put safety first, act with integrity, and thrive in collaborative environments.Ideally, you’ll have:
- A HND/HNC or higher in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in electrical design and technical documentation
- Project environment experience with planning and execution skills
- Knowledge of British Standards and electrical design principles (e.g. BS7671)
- A proactive, team-oriented approach with excellent communication skills
The following experience would be advantageous but not essential:
- Control & Instrumentation (C&I) design (BS6739)
- Functional safety (IEC 61508/61511)
- Electrical design software (e.g. Amtech), or Siemens NX / Teamcenter
- Working towards IEng or CEng status
