Electrical Estimator (Hybrid Role)
Location: Newbury/Reading Area (Hybrid – Primarily Remote)
Salary: £65,000 – £75,000 + Car Allowance + Company Bonus
Contract Type: Full-time, PermanentWe are seeking a skilled Electrical Estimator to join our dynamic team, offering a hybrid role based near Newbury/Reading. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to work with a leading company in the building services industry.The RoleAs an Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and detailed mechanical and electrical estimates for a variety of projects, ranging from commercial to industrial developments. This role offers a flexible working arrangement with the majority of time spent working from home. However, regular travel to both the office and project sites will be required for team collaboration and site assessments.Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed mechanical and electrical cost estimates for tender submissions
- Analyse project drawings, specifications, and scope of works
- Conduct site visits to gather information and understand project requirements
- Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain quotations
- Collaborate closely with the project management team to ensure accurate costings and project feasibility
- Maintain a database of pricing, suppliers, and project costs for future reference
- Identify and manage any potential risks associated with project costs
About YouTo excel in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator, ideally within the commercial or industrial sector
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical building services
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to interpret technical drawings
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with the team
- Willingness to travel to sites and the office as needed
