As a Lecturer in Electrical Installation, you will be responsible for teaching a range of further education courses, developing specific subject areas, and leading programmes of study. You will manage classrooms, prepare lessons, and mark assignments, ensuring the achievement of learning and teaching goals.Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Development: Prepare learning materials, mark assignments, and ensure learning goals are met.
- Programme Management: Contribute to quality assurance, student guidance, and administration.
- Teaching: Manage the classroom environment, teach various courses, and assess students.
- Student Recruitment: Recruit and select students, meeting enrolment targets.
- Professional Development: Participate in staff development activities and maintain up-to-date knowledge in your specialist area.
Essential Criteria:
- Relevant degree or equivalent professional technical qualification (minimum Level 3).
- Minimum Level 2 Literacy & Numeracy.
- Substantial industrial experience in the curriculum area.
- Strong commitment to quality assurance and enhancement.
- Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings as required.
Desirable Criteria:
- Teaching Qualification.
- Knowledge of innovative learning and teaching techniques.
- Understanding of Further and/or Higher Education funding mechanisms.
- Experience teaching in an FE setting.
- 18th Edition
- Experience with internal quality processes and procedures.
