As we’ve delivered on this mission over the last 35 years, we have become the market leader in global telehealth services and digital health solutions for an extensive client base of Fortune 500 companies, NGO’s and governments around the world.Purpose of JobThe Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is responsible for responding to emergencies efficiently and promptly.We are currently staffing for Full-time Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) or Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians (AEMT) for one of our industrial client sites near Reno, Nevada.This is a 7 days a week position on a 3 week on / 3 week off rotation. The shifts are 7:00 am-5:00p Monday to Saturday.Key responsibilities
- Administering basic first aid and medical support to patients, in accordance with federal, state, local and company policy and regulations
- Assessing the nature and extent of injuries/illnesses to prioritize medical procedures
- Ensuring that quality, clinical standards are practiced at all times
- Documenting all findings and treatments clearly and concisely
- Assisting the Site Safety Managers and Personnel in maintaining the most safe and secure work environment possible
- Other duties as assigned
About youRequired Skills and Knowledge
- Completion of an accredited EMT program
Required Competencies
- Effectively communicating with medical professionals and treatment facilities to obtain instructions regarding further action
- Effectively communicating with client and site personnel regarding any worksite incidents, hazards, etc.
- Demonstrating a strong orientation towards teamwork and the ability to understand the importance of team coordinated efforts
- Demonstrating a strong ability to be cognizant of the constantly changing worksite environment and construction site hazards
- Conducting oneself in a helpful, dignified, and professional manner regardless of stress level and personal circumstances
Required Work Experience
- Previous EMT experience, 1st response experience or emergency 911 experience (minimum 2 years)
- Occupational medicine experience (preferred)
Required Qualifications
- EMT Nevada State License
- Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification
- BLS
Required Languages
- Excellent written and oral English
