As we embark on an exciting change project, we are looking for a dedicated Employee Relations (ER) Advisor to join our dynamic team for a 12-month fixed-term contract. If you are a self-driven HR professional with experience in employee relations, we invite you to be part of our team.
As an Employee Relations Advisor, you will play a crucial role in supporting with business change in terms of restructuring, redundancies and case management. Using your expertise to ensure we provide a seamless service to the business and our customers. The role is hybrid from our Stockton on Tees office.
What you’ll be doing:
- Working with the ER team providing expertise in business change, including restructuring, redundancies, and the drafting of settlement agreements
- Advising and coaching line managers on effective ER strategies, ensuring the utilisation of HR policies, especially in areas like Grievance, Disciplinary, Performance, and Absence Management, to ensure matters are handled appropriately and in line with legislative and organisational requirements
- Empowering line managers through one-on-one coaching and the delivery of training sessions and workshops to enhance their ER skills and knowledge across the organisation
- Taking the lead in handling ACAS conciliation and Employment Tribunal (ET) claims
What you’ll bring:
- A background in HR with a solid focus on employee relations
- A natural inclination to take initiative and get results
- Good communication skills to effectively convey HR strategies and influence outcomes
- Commercial awareness and able to take a balanced view when influencing decisions
- Able to build and maintain strong internal/external customer relationships to make sure a high level of service is provided
