And now they are recruiting for a Level 3 Apprenticeship Engineer at their site in Severnside to start summer 2024.

About the role

This 4-year Engineering Apprenticeship Programme will see you based at the Severnside, Müller Milk & Ingredients site. You’ll be provided with a fantastic way to realise your potential and get your career off to the best possible start. You will study towards a recognised qualification, earn a good salary, develop new skills, and gain invaluable experience. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Asset Management: keeping Manufacturing machinery maintained, managing processes, filling/packing, and site cleaning operations
  • Involvement in Continuous Improvement projects, project management, or tests and trial activities
  • Fault finding and quick action to meet food safety standards
  • Being part of a team striving to achieve the highest quality products
  • Highlighting concerns and ensuring products or volumes meet the agreed requirements and targets

This Apprenticeship combines technical training, academic study, and work-based learning using one of the industry’s most popular apprenticeships: Food & Drink Maintenance Engineer and covers all the fundamental Engineering topics you need to know, such as:

  • Electrical principles and maintenance
  • Mechanical maintenance to keep the factories running efficiently
  • Basic welding and machining skills
  • Automation
  • Application of Engineering principles in the Food & Drinks industry

That’s why it has a really strong support network behind it, ensuring its ongoing success. So, you can be confident that you’ll be joining a highly regarded apprenticeship.

About Müller Milk & Ingredients

Müller Milk & Ingredients aims to be Britain’s private-label dairy leader and produces branded and private-label fresh milk, cream, butter, and ingredients products. It boasts a network of dairies and depots servicing customers throughout the country.

Who are they looking for?

You will need to meet the following entry requirements:

  • 5 GCSEs at minimum grade 4/C including Maths and English (or UK/International equivalent)
  • Able to demonstrate a clear passion for Engineering
  • Great attention to detail
  • Good time management skills
  • Ability to analyse problems and suggest improvements or solutions
  • Ability to take a proactive approach
  • Ability to take ownership of own work
  • Demonstrates a self-motivated and proactive approach to work and studies
  • Ability to demonstrate good team working skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • You will need to be able to work away from home during college block programmes, or travel daily to the college provider (Bridgwater and Taunton College)
