Alecto Recruitment is looking to hear from experienced Engineering Managers or Senior Engineers who can offer experience from the quarrying, recycling or aggregates processing industry, who would be interested in a full time, permanent position in the West Yorkshire area.Working Monday to Friday you will oversee engineering operations at a busy heavy processing facility, overseeing maintenance and repair works on processing machinery, overseeing all aspects of Health & Safety and undertaking project work.In return our client can offer an attractive benefits scheme, life insurance and other package benefits.Ideally you will have experience as Engineering Manager in one of the following industries – recycling, milling, power generation, renewable energy, quarrying, mining.Duties

• Lead and manage a team of engineers, technicians, and support staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
• Develop and implement effective maintenance and operational strategies to optimize productivity and equipment utilization.
• Oversee all engineering activities, including equipment maintenance, repairs, and upgrades, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measures to enhance operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as production, safety, and quality control, to ensure seamless operations and achieve business objectives.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies, equipment, and processes to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve overall performance.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal quality standards.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to resolve complex engineering issues and troubleshoot equipment problems as they arise.
• Develop and manage the engineering budget, effectively controlling costs and resources while maintaining high standards of service.

Applicant Profile

• Senior Engineer or Engineer Manager level in the quarrying, recycling or aggregates processing industry.
• Experienced in carrying out maintenance and repair of heavy plant and diesel-powered processing machinery.
• Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualifications and hands-on experience.
• Driving licence.
• Based in West Yorkshire.
• Experienced in managing Health & Safety policies and procedures.
