Siemens Industry Inc. is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to support Siemens’ Smart Infrastructure Electrical Products Business in North America (SI EP NA).

The EHS Professional is responsible for managing environmental, health and safety culture and compliance (OSHA, EPA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, etc.) across SI EP NA. This role will work closely with corporate and factory EHS teams to lead the development, implementation, and coordination of standardized EHS programs and policies to drive sustained world class EHS performance. This position has a direct impact on Business Unit performance and must possess an in-depth knowledge of safety and environmental regulations as well as strong interpersonal and leadership skills. The candidate must possess the ability/ skills to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization. The EHS Professional will serve as a strategic resource to the SI EP NA sites, provide tools and support to site leadership to achieve Siemens’ EHS goals and objectives.

You will make impact with the following responsibilities:

  • Lead/participate in cross functional teams to achieve Siemens EHS goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate with site EHS Leadership Teams and Corporate Resources on EHS activities and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the site EHS and training resources on relevant EHS training programs, including but not limited to Personal Protective Equipment, Emergency Response, Hazard Communication, NFPA 70E, etc.; this may include content development/standardization and training facilitation.
  • Facilitating/Leading EHS incident investigations, including incident tracking, incident trending/analysis and recordkeeping requirements (internal and external).
  • Leading/Participating in audit activities (internal and external) including EHS regulatory compliance as well as ISO 14001 and 45001.
  • Current knowledge of existing environmental and occupational safety regulations including but not limited RCRA, CWA, Industrial Pretreatment Program, SWPPP, SPCC, TSCA, TRI, Tier II, OSHA, NFPA 70E, etc.
  • Tracking environmental related Federal, State, and Local regulatory changes known to or that may impact operations.
  • Interfacing with regulatory agencies, employees, and legal counsel on behalf of business when required, including coordination of required actions and business response as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental or a similar degree
  • 8+ years EHS experience in an industrial manufacturing environment leading other; must be able to influence without authority.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams relative to EHS projects/initiatives (project management experience).
  • Familiar with ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management systems.
  • Strong working knowledge of environmental regulations (RCRA, DOT, CWA, TSCA, etc.) as well as OSHA regulations.
  • Must have strong verbal and written skills.
  • Individual must be self-directed with the ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Must be proficient in use of MS Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree
  • Preferred qualifications include ASP, CSP and/or CHMM.
  • Strong leadership skills

  • The pay range for this position is $78,960 – $135,360. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
