Job Summary IFF’s is a global leader in sustainability and environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance, our program encompasses areas of environmental stewardship, social responsibility and governance accountability. We are seeking an inspired, enthusiastic individual to join out Corporate Sustainability Team to assist with environmental sustainability and ESG reporting initiatives. The primary focus of this role will be to support implementation of the environmental sustainability management system for performance tracking as well and annual sustainability reporting efforts including voluntary and regulatory submittals. The Specialist will work report to the Director of Environmental Sustainability and ESG reporting and work directly with team leaders in preparation of data analysis, performance tracking, and annual reports/disclosures including but not limited to the annual Do More Good Report, DJSI, CDP and EcoVadis.Job Responsibilities:

  • Champion the monthly and quarterly KPI tracking by Business Unit and Facility to identify portfolio drivers and assist in communicating performance tends.
  • Work with Corporate and BU sustainability team members to oversee the daily management of the Global Sustainability Management System that enables a clear view of environmental performance.
  • Deliver monthly and quarterly updates to ensure alignment with corporate initiatives.
  • Assist/lead the annual water risk assessment and zero waste to landfill programs and expand as needed to meet long-term expectations.
  • Assist/lead the annual environmental sustainability data assurance process.
  • Assist with preparation of our annual sustainability and ESG related reports such as CDP, DJSI, EcoVadis.
  • Review and leverage annual scoring results to identify areas for improvement.
  • Contribute to the response of customer, investor, and NGO sustainability inquiries as it relates to environmental sustainability thereby exemplifying IFF’s commitment to its sustainability goals as well as customer goals.
  • Familiar with new regulatory requirements in ESG reporting such as but not limited to SEC, California and CSRD.
  • Asist with Double Materiality processes including annual validation and refresh.
  • Coordinate data/claim validation as needed as part of the third-party assurance process.
  • Work with the Communications teams I development on internal and external content.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of Bachelors degree in Engineering or Environmental/Sustainability Science or a related discipline and 1-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of greenhouse gas (GHG emission calculations and verification as well as environmental management software
  • Relevant experience in annual sustainability and ESG related reporting.
  • Extreme comfort in working with large volumes of data and performing data analytics.
  • Understanding of Sustainability and ESG related reporting requirements and standards such as GRI.
  • Familiar with established and emerging ESG related regulatory reporting frameworks.
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills, including strong verbal and written skills.
  • Ability to manage and organize to handle multiple projects and meet reporting timelines.
  • Excellent Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Data Analysis skills
