It’s an exciting time to join us on a 12 month FTC as we embed a best in class advisory service and add value through proactive projects to upskill our managers.You’ll have the opportunity to get involved in the full spectrum of ER casework, and work with a multi-skilled and supportive team. We ensure our service epitomises the Marshall culture & values, meets compliance requirements and supports business objectives.This role reports to the Head of HR Operations and will be a hybrid working pattern with two days per week based from our Head Office in Milton Keynes. Due to the nature of our business, you may be required to work across our other business entities.What will I do?
- Provide specialist advice and solutions on all employee relations matters to a range of managers and people across the business – ensuring this support epitomises the Marshall culture & values, meets compliance requirements and delivers business objectives.
- Coach line managers to improve their capability to independently manage their people and change situations for the better
- End to end case management of ER cases and organisational change, including managing all relevant correspondence and maintaining up to date people files and the case management system.
- Drive continuous improvement through ways of working, policies, processes and the education and upskilling of managers and colleagues
- Work on projects to improve our ER service and reputation across the business.
- Use data to create ideas and start conversations around our ER climate.
What do I need?
- A passion for employee relations and coaching managers to reach the right outcome.
- Strong, all round employee relations experience covering conduct and capability (e.g. disciplinary, grievance, absence, family related leave, flexible working, performance and organisational change (i.e. redundancy and TUPE).
- Proactive approach to employee relations, with an ability to work at pace and manage a varied caseload.
- Good experience in building and sustaining effective relationships remotely at all levels
- Proven knowledge of employment legislation and its application into people policies and processes
- Good awareness and understanding of people wellbeing and initiatives to support this
- Assertive, resilient and comfortable working at pace
- Customer and service focussed, and confident in using data to drive this.
