  • Enhance and execute a proactive ESG strategy, engaging both internal and external stakeholders, which fulfills the Company’s responsibility, enhances its image, and positions the Company as a leader in sustainability.
  • Plan, organize and lead initiatives for the enhancement of the Company’s ESG performance, including timely reporting of its ESG disclosures in accordance with requirements of the ESG platforms the Company subscribes to, including the Company’s Sustainability Report, the United Nations Global Compact, the Global Reporting Initiative framework, and the EcoVadis scorecard.
  • Manage, monitor, and maintain expertise on GRI, SASB, IFRS, CoP, CDP, Ecovadis, and other ESG-related regional and national regulations to study, analyze and benchmark reporting trends and changes to provide insights and recommendations on advancing the Company’s ESG reporting practices.
  • Manage sustainability driven disclosures to support quality and accuracy.
  • Develop and apply insights from ESG data to support achievement of the Company’s science-based targets and other public sustainability goals.
  • Develop internal dashboards and perform data analysis on ESG data to provide insights into goal achievement for global decarbonization and other sustainability goals.
  • Formulate, draft, and present the Company’s annual sustainability report in compliance with the prescribed ESG frameworks, standards, platforms, and rating agency criteria.
  • Manage and mentor the ESG reporting program team consisting of 2 reports.
  • Serve as the Company’s subject matter expert in response to key ESG surveys, questionnaires, ratings and rankers and inquiries and perform ongoing monitoring and advisory of ESG-related changes, regulations, best practices, rulings, public notices, etc.
  • Work with stakeholder relations, corporate communications, and marketing to deliver the message of the Company’s commitment to ESG and ensure messaging is consistent across UL Solutions, the Company’s global footprint, and throughout other internal/external communications.
  • Work with the environmental sustainability team and collaborators across the business to operationalize and communicate the decarbonization plan – internally and externally – and develop reporting and insights along the journey.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with internal and external experts and leaders engaged in ESG initiatives.
  • Develop annual sustainability report messaging, working with marketing, communications, operations, Ethics and Compliance, Legal, HR, finance, COUs and other key functions.
  • Report to Director Corporate Sustainability

Qualifications:

  • University Degree in business, engineering, sustainability, marketing, or other related field, plus 3-5 years’ proven experience in sustainability with ESG reporting and strategy experience in a corporate setting and/or third-party certified sustainability and/or ESG reporting professional credential.
  • An in-depth working knowledge of the UN Global Compact, SASB, GRI, Ecovadis, CSRD and other leading ESG frameworks
  • GHG emissions reporting, SBTi and decarbonization management expertise
  • Experience in successfully leading and managing cross-functional teams towards a common goal
  • Experience in developing and executing to project plans and budgets

What we offer:Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated salary range for this position is $100,500 to $110,000 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 20% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country.
