ESS Group includes three companies – Engineering Support & Services Ltd. (ESS), Eirdata Environmental Services Ltd. (Eirdata), and the newly joined Critical Airflow Europe (CAE).

  • Eirdata are specialists in cleanroom validation, commissioning and compliance, HVAC systems, indoor air quality and building wellness.

Due to continuous expansion the ESS Group are now looking to hire a Managment Accountant to join our team.
Reporting to the Financial Controller the Management Accountant will be a key supporting figure within the group of companies.Areas of Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and review of monthly management accounts for numerous entities to meet month end deadlines.
  • Calculation, posting and analysis of monthly accruals and prepayments, ensuring that all items are accurately captured.
  • Work proactively with each of the budget owners preparing budgets and forecasts, margin analysis, cost analysis, expense management and variance analysis.
  • Assist in the development of Key Performance Indicators for financial management of each budget area.
  • Maintain and develop further good processes around customer billing and invoicing.
  • Assist in development of process flows for time and attendance system to link financial customer accounts and operation expenses for billing
  • Preparation of VAT returns
  • Payroll related review and responsibilities.
  • Assist with streamlining processes within the Finance Team.
  • Actively seek to implement continuous improvement in area of responsibility.
  • Assist the Financial Controller and other members of the Team on all finance functions and ad-hoc matters as appropriate.

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • An ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple issues simultaneously.
  • Highly motivated, proactive, assertive and decisive.
  • Business acumen, Hands on pragmatic approach to problem solving.
  • Proven track record of understanding of the operational aspects of a similar business.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficient in financial software and advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Good understanding of payroll operations and calculations.
