Salary: $62,500 yearly. CulinArt’s extremely diverse client portfolio affords great opportunities for career advancement within the company, across multiple industry segments and geographic regions.Job SummaryThe Event Coordinator /Administrative Assistant will assist with catering and special events at the United Nations in NYC.Key Responsibilities:

  • Answers telephones and makes reservations for clients
  • Tracks information in the database
  • Responsible for planning in the conference center
  • Ensures appropriate communication to operating departments including Conference Services, Catering, and Audio Visual
  • Check all conference rooms before the client arrives
  • Ensures rooms are set according to customer standards
  • Ensure Audio Visual equipment is set according to customer standards
  • Finalizes all planning details with clients and distributes to all operating departments
  • Provides business center services when requested
  • Rune end-of-day reports

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A four year college degree preferred
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and be computer savvy
  • Must have strong administrative skills, be highly organized
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work in an extremely faced paced environment
  • At least two years of planning experience in the hospitality industry
  • Previous experience with high-volume catering
  • Flexible to work various hours based on events
  • Proactive attitude to anticipate and support changes in our business
  • Keep tabs on industry trends and share information with staff
  • Outstanding customer service abilities
