EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant. Blackley, Manchester.Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young children with special educational needs? A Nursery School in Blackley, Manchester, are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistants to support children in their crucial developmental years within a mainstream primary school setting. This opportunity is suited to experienced Nursery Practitioners, Teaching Assistants, and Psychology Graduates eager to gain experience supporting children with SEN.As an EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in providing support to children with special educational needs within Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to implement individualised learning plans, foster a nurturing learning environment, and ensure each child reaches their full potential.Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to children with SEN.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of activities that promote social, emotional, and educational development.
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents/carers.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive atmosphere where children feel safe and valued.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with young children, ideally within a nursery or primary school setting.
  • Knowledge of EYFS curriculum and strategies for supporting children with SEN.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support children with diverse learning needs.
  • Psychology graduates or experienced nursery practitioners are encouraged to apply.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
